First post...!

*peeks around corner*
So, I started learning how to crochet this year since my college had a club. I've really enjoyed it so far. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but practice makes better! ^^ It's one of those things where I can really feel like I'm making progress the more I work on it.

So...I've made some simple stuff from patterns.

Like some really basic animals. (Appendages not included.)

Their faces are rather goofy looking (because I suck at embroidery.)

These weren't done in rounds, but I made roses for a sorority at school.

Now I'm not really sure what to work on... I would really like to make Pon and Zi dolls.

But I can't seem to find any good free patterns for them. Help, please?
I don't have confidence in my ability to crochet without a pattern. What would be a good starting point to learn/practice freehand crochet?

Thanks for looking, and thanks in advance for any suggestions! :)

Oh, and here's a random stuffed monster I made at the beginning of the school year. His name is Koji. :>
