customary March ami-along link extravaganza

Oh, hey, another month has whipped past us! That means another

This March we're revisiting yet another favourite,  ANIMATED INANIMATES.
In the past we've seen countless cuties ranging from elaborate peeps to actual AIs -

let's see what we can add to the list!

Oh, hey, look at that! Isn't that a Dalek?

And a Doctor - with a TARDIS?

Or take GIR. He's intelligent - in his own awesome way..

Oh, how about giving your electronic devices a nice personal ami-sibling? Like your Nintendo, or just your console - they'd get along soo well, blabbering in BASIC... so cute. (can't find a pattern for this one, though.)

Computer crochet
Or just give your car a personality - that'd  work.

Or your own house:

Or your handy - is it a dame, or more like a boss? You could express your relationship status with a very personal tiny mobile phone ornament/ keychain - or if it's a despised object,a chewtoy for a particularly vischious neighboring dog? :D

What I like to do, though, is giving my electronic devices an animate cozy - my pendrive lives in a crocodile (or a multicolor snail, depending on my mood), and my phone is in a happy orchard.

Or here's a set of McDonald's menu - alive :D - starred by the cast of Aqua Teen Hunger Force and a hamburger.

But if you're pressed for a good idea, watching the Beauty and the Beast would be a splendid source of inspiration, too - the idea of talking flatware still sends me in a happy spree. :D

Or you could just look up similar posts from the past years. :D

But if objects are not along your alley, you still have another oh-so-popular topic to rejoice in: your FAVOURITE FICTIONAL CHARACTERS

Have you been craving a personal version of the hero(ine) from your beloved cartoon/film/comic/book? Now's the time to fulfill that dream! Here's a selection of exemplary adventurers.

The Doctor has been embodied in amigurumi form countless times (see link above with options to choose from), along with his companions..

Or look at the latest allotment of the brightly colored equines from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - bronies are very appreciative of art, they might even take the amis and run with them... (or just look a few posts back, there are some neat ones already in our comm, this here is just to give you ideas)

Or Winnie the Pooh. Such charm, such charisma! That's why he, Tigger, Donkey, Piglet and Kanga (with Roo - like this) are so popular. Or make a Moomin - they're adorable!

Stitch here is fabulous, too:

Or look at the lovely Sailor Moons that were created.

Immortalizing Finn or Flapjack in yarn is a good bet, too...  (they seem to be the best if freehanded)

Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy is also a never-ending source of inspriation, although any game you play will give you a beloved hero. Or a Chocobo.

The same way you'll end up with a cute crochet critter if you watch cartoons or anime - like how this wee Appa was born.

Now, I'm only picking some popular heroes here - it's up to you to show us how dazzling your beloved protagonist is in yarn!

This all looks great! (I love the Appa!).

You may want to edit, though. The "McDonald's Meal" is actually the cast of Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

I'm glad you like them. I was aware of the difference but tried not to pimp the show, since McDonalds they know in almost any country, but said TV show may not be availabe everywhere. And essentially, they are talking food.

Very true. I'm not a huge fan of the show, but even I was like, "HEY! Meatwad!"

The hamburger is so cute! And the Nintendo Gameboy is hilarious. :)
